Our aim for our first week back from winter break was to hit the ground running.
Welcome to our blog! We will have regular posts to keep you updated on the latest developments with the Armari project. This week, we had our first team meeting and set out some goals to be achieved by the next week. The mechanical team has finished 3D printing the first prototype of the smart joint and purchased a piece of MDF to be machined for the first vertical panel prototype on Friday. Key hardware components have also arrived from Digikey. Using Helen's Arduino, we will test out the luminosity of the LED bulbs and strips in order to determine which will be preferable for the final prototype.
On the electrical side of things, we will now be starting the design of the custom PCB to be used in the smart joints. The software team is also aiming to set up the raspberry pi and the repositories as well as setting a defined action plan.
